Since 1996, Dalhousie University has partnered with the International Medical University (IMU) in Malaysia. Each year, up to six IMU students are eligible to complete third- and fourth-year clerkships at Dalhousie University leading to a Canadian Medical Doctorate degree. Dalhousie University also offers an International Medical Graduate (IMG) program, where two qualified candidates who are newcomers to Nova Scotia are admitted to clerkship at Dalhousie Medical School. Once this program is completed, students are eligible to enter the first round of the CaRMS match as a Dalhousie graduate.
On Thursday May 5th, the Dalhousie Global Health Office held a luncheon to welcome our new IMU/IMG students. We would like to extend a warm welcome to the following new Dalhousie Medical School students, and wish them the best of luck as they transition to clerkship.
