EBSCO Publishing has purchased the rights to ten renowned print indexes from SAGE, processed the content for each index back to Volume 1 Issue 1, and made them available electronically via EBSCOhost. These are highly-refined, specialized collections in their subject areas. Trial access will continue until February 22.

In January 2008, the Dalhousie Libraries’ subscription to Biological Abstracts was moved to the search interface provided by ISI, the Institute for Scientific Information. This gives Biological Abstracts the same look and feel as Web of Science and Journal Citation Reports. Database content remains the same (coverage from 1926 onward).

The Kellogg Library has acquired Ergonomic Abstracts for use on and off campus. This database includes 125,000 records going back to 1985 and will be of particular interest to ergonomists, health and safety specialists, human factors engineers, human computer interaction specialists, designers, systems analysts, industrial engineers, occupational psychologists and occupational and physical therapists.
