| The Kellogg Health Science Library has recently subscribed to two new study tools that our users will find helpful as they prepare for examinations:
– Board Vitals, includes USMLE steps 1, 2, and 3 content which is vetted by experts and physician contributors, and also Shelf Exams covering seven medical specialties. Students and residents can create personalized practice exams and monitor their own progress, and faculty or administrators can use special features to create customized exam content for their learners. http://dal.ca.libguides.com/az.php?q=board%20vitals – The OSCE Clinical Skills Videos (Objective Structured Clinical Exams) are designed to test clinical skills performance using real or simulated patients. These videos help students prepare their clinical reasoning skills, so they can feel confident as they work through clinical scenarios in the exam room. http://dal.ca.libguides.com/az.php?q=osces Board Vitals and the OSCEs Clinical Skills videos are both updated on a regular basis and they are an exciting addition to our collection. Although they are not available as mobile apps, both tools perform great on tablet, phone, or a computer’s web browser. To access Board Vitals set up your free personal account (using your Dalhousie email address). Access the OSCEs Clinical Skills Videos using your Dalhousie NetID and password. Visit our Health Sciences Resources page and look under “Exam Review Tools” to find both: https://libraries.dal.ca/hours-locations/kellogg/health-science-resources.html. |
