On Friday October 23 the Dalhousie Office of Sustainability officially launched its ReThink Program with a special event in the SUB lobby. The launch included an announcement about Dal’s two brand new sustainability teams–the Dalhousie Libraries Green team, the very first one on campus (yay us!), and a team from Communications & Marketing. Our Green keeners are: Linda Bedwell, Leigh Smith, Michelle Paon and Sandy Dwyer, and they’re already actively working on a variety of sustainability initiatives for the Libraries–stay tuned.

A Jeopardy match was held as part of the ReThink launch. The Libraries Green Team was pitted against a crack group of sustainability students and Communications & Marketing. Our Greenies–Leigh, Michelle, and intrepid volunteers Marc Comeau and Sarah Stevenson, came in a close and respectable second with a score of 270. We think it’s absolutely appropriate that the students trounced us all with a total of 330 points. We’re also very excited about our Sustainability Team and look forward to supporting them as they work to make our libraries greener!
