It is certainly with mixed emotions that I must inform you all that Kathryn Harvey, Archives Specialist in the Dalhousie University Archives and Special Collections has resigned her position, effective 13 February 2009. At that time, Kathryn will take up her new position as Head of Archival and Special Collections at the University of Guelph.

Kathryn has been an important and valuable member of the DUASC staff, working on numerous projects and activities from the creation of many of our digital collections to the development and implementation of our accessioning and descriptive standards to the supervising of our many grant funded and student assistants.

I am certain that all of you who know and have worked with Kathryn during both her contract and full-time employment in the Dalhousie University Library will wish her the very best as she takes on this wonderful new challenge at the University of Guelph.
