Interested in joining the Dalhousie Canadian Library Association (CLA) student chapter executive? We are looking for enthusiastic MLIS students to join our team for 2014/2015. This March we are opening nominations and applications for two positions: treasurer and secretary. The deadline to apply is March 21st, 2014.

Secretary duties

• Record and distribute minutes from meetings.
• Assist in CLA events including: Professional Mentorship Program, fundraisers, trivia, and meetings

Treasurer duties

• Maintain chapter accounts (deposits, reimbursements, etc.)
• Work closely with co-chairs to submit application for funding to CLA and complete fiscal plan, interim report, and final report
• Assist in CLA events including: Professional Mentorship Program, fundraisers, trivia, and meetings

Dalhousie CLA executive are required to have a CLA membership. However, feel free to apply for these positions even if are not currently a member. You can purchase your membership at any time throughout the year for only $25!
