Please join us in welcoming Kelsey MacGillivray to the Dalhousie Libraries. Kelsey is the new Library Services Assistant at the Killam Library. Prior to coming to Dalhousie, she worked at the Mount Saint Vincent University Library and the Keshen Goodman Public Library. Kelsey is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (ask her about the time she fell in a fire pond). While studying at St. F.X., she worked as a student assistant at the Angus L. MacDonald Library. It was her experience there that encouraged her to enroll in NSCC’s Library & Information Technology program, from which she graduated in 2017.
In addition to her library experience, Kelsey has worked a variety of jobs, including inside sales, props, and running crew for the Bauer Theatre; office administration; and as an environmental lab technician (you could always find her by her loud singing or the word. “ow”). Her hobbies are as varied as her work experience: she’s an avid reader, video gamer, artist, movie-goer, cosplayer, and recently learned how to knit. Spot her by her geeky and eccentric earring collection or humming Legend of Zelda tunes in the stacks.
We’re so pleased to have Kelsey join the Dal Libraries’ team.
