What is a ‘lunchless learn’? It’s a hands-on tutorial, held around lunchtime, open to all on campus.
If you need to know more about data but don’t know where to start, you are not alone. This data series will embrace the ‘learning community’ approach. You may already know more about some issues than other attendees, but they may know more than you on other topics. By sharing time together, we can all move forward.
This series is a fun and easy way to look at our world using numbers and text: the first session will explore concepts and terminology associated with data and statistics, the second session will dip into the growing corpus of textual data, and the third session will feature Canadian content collected and disseminated by Statistics Canada. Leading all three sessions will be Gwen MacNairn, our Coordinator of Data & GIS Services.
Due to the high level of interest, we ask you to register for each session you want to take. Sign-up can be done through the Dalhousie Libraries events calendar, the registration link for each session is below. Please note: Sessions will include some optional data exercises.
