Dal Libraries staff member Johnelle Sciocchetti will be at the Atlantic Fringe Festival again this year with another new play. This is Johnelle’s sixth show and her second year in the Fringe Festival.
Backstage: you’re so vain you probably think this play is about you, is a show about Halifax theatre and what really happens behind the scenes. Presented by the Wildfire Theatre Society, the 23rd Atlantic Fringe Festival happens from August 29 through September 8.
Written and directed by Johnelle and performed by a spectacular cast, Backstage doesn’t hold anything back. Sometimes the drama happening offstage is more entertaining than what’s happening on stage. Caution: approach this play with a healthy sense of humor, because it’s not really about you… is it?
Backstage will play on the following dates:
Saturday, August 31/8:40 p.m.
Sunday, September 1/4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, September 3/8:30 p.m.
Friday, September 6/8:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 7 /8:30 p.m.
All shows will take place at the Museum of Natural History Theatre.
Tickets are $6 and can be bought in advance online at http://backstageaf.eventbrite.ca/ or at the venue before each show.
