Were you one of the hundreds in attendance to see Shin Dong-hyuk speak at Dal on March 7? Shin is the only person known to have successfully escaped from a “total-control zone” North Korean prison camp.

Shin is now a human rights activist, sharing his painful and traumatic past to educate others. He recently spoke at Dal after students read the book Escape from Camp 14 in their Development and Activism class. Now, you too can read Shin’s story; the Dal Libraries have recently purchased two copies of the book.
