This Friday, all of Dalhousie will be celebrating Pink Day, a day when all faculty, staff and students are encouraged to wear pink to promote respect on our campuses.
The Dalhousie Libraries’ Health & Wellness Committee supports Pink Day in a number of ways. Today, they are presenting an educational opportunity (a lunch and learn session) for library staff about collaboration in the workplace. On Friday, they will be wearing pink and will have baskets with pink ribbons and candy at all five of the Dalhousie Libraries with the message: Please wear a ribbon to promote a respectful and inclusive learning and work environment.
“The Dalhousie Libraries’ Health & Wellness Committee promotes the principles behind Pink Day all year round. The campus-wide Pink Day initiative is a great way to remind everyone that we’re always striving to make Dalhousie as respectful as possible,” says Sandy Dwyer, chair of the Dalhousie Libraries’ Health & Wellness Committee.
Don’t forget to wear pink this Friday!
