During the summer months we will be upgrading all PC’s in the Killam Learning Commons to use the Windows 7 operating system. From Wednesday 22nd June Windows 7 will initially be installed on the three tables directly outside the Killam Help Desk in the South Learning Commons. During this trial period all other machines will continue to use the Windows XP operating system.

I heard that students can get Windows 7 for free at certain universities/colleges. I am currently a Dal student and I was wondering if you also offer Windows 7 for free. I know this is not the best place to look for an answer but this is what i could find through Dal’s search engine.

Computer Science students have access to operating systems and development tools under the Computer Science MSDN Academic Alliance subscription, but it is for Computer Science students only.
