Did you back up your work today?  Have you checked your backups of old computer files recently?  Do you back up your files to multiple locations?

If you answered no to any of those questions, then World Backup Day is for you!

The idea for World Backup Day only came up a week ago, when a Reddit user proposed a day “when everyone remembers to check that they have good backups of their treasured data.”  Other Reddit members quickly jumped on board, companies started offering prizes, and in just a couple days, World Backup Day was born.

If you’re wondering how you should backup your data, check the World Backup Day website.  The folks over at Ars Technica also have some good ideas.
