Open Access is the principle that all research should be freely accessible online. This October marks the first international celebration of Open Access Week, an opportunity to broaden awareness and understanding of the importance of Open Access.
The Libraries already provide Open Access on campus through DalSpace, our institutional repository, and our ever-growing suite of digital collections in the health professions and humanities. We’re taking an active role in promoting Open Access to Dalhousie faculty, researchers and students. We’ll have booths with handouts and buttons, and you can visit our Open Access webpage to find out more. We even have a new Open Access Libguide.
Visit your library next week and show your support for Open Access at Dal!
