In an effort to better measure the quality of our service the Dalhousie University Libraries have run the LibQUAL+™ Survey in two separate years – 2005 and 2007.
LibQUAL+™ is a tool designed to solicit, track, and understand users’ opinions and perceptions of service quality. It is one of a number of new ways libraries are moving towards outcome-based assessment, instead of relying merely on input, output, or resource metrics. Outcome measures are designed to show how well an organization serves its users and they help to demonstrate an institution’s efficiency and effectiveness.
The results of these surveys have been tabulated and analyzed for the users of the Kellogg Health Sciences Library and refer specifically to the Kellogg’s collections, service and physical space.
