Summer employment opportunity for students – Data Coordinator
Knowledge for All is a not-for-profit organization that is developing an open access, online, searchable database of journal article citations for all past and current scholarly journal literature. Using open source architecture and following open data standards, Knowledge for All is an exciting, innovative project which aims to provide equitable access to information worldwide and give libraries control over their tools and resources. A Data Coordinator is needed to build a comprehensive knowledge base of data about journals that will be indexed in the Knowledge for All system and assist with planning the data infrastructure for further journal article metadata collection, generation, and management. The Data Coordinator will also participate in research, marketing, and communication, depending on skills and interests. This collaborative international project is being led by university libraries in the Atlantic provinces, and the Data Coordinator position is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
