SIM is sad to share the news of Sandra Horrocks’ passing. SIM and Dalhousie have a very special, long-standing relationship with the Horrocks family. Sandra’s late husband, Dr. Norman Horrocks, OC, PhD, FCLIP (1927-2010), was Director of the School of Information Management and Dean of the Faculty of Management.
The Dalhousie-Horrocks National Leadership Fund was established in 2007 to honour Norman for his outstanding leadership in the field of librarianship in North America, Australia, and Europe. As stated in the obituary below, donations to the Fund in memory of Sandra are appreciated. Visit our website for more information about how to donate.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Horrocks family and thank them for their ongoing support of SIM.
