Once again, the Dalhousie School of Information Management Associated Alumni has grown larger! The exec wants to congratulate the newest round of graduates on the completion of their MLIS and MIM degrees and welcomes you as our newest alumni.  What an exciting time for all of you! Here is a quick note for our newest alumn (and a reminder for all previous alumni!) as to what your Dal SIM Alumni Association does for you…
The Associated Alumni is a wonderful peer network, comprised of professional librarians and information managers who have all stood where you’re standing now. From coast to coast, you’ll find us. As subscribers to this listserv, you’ll get updates on Alumni events and what your colleagues are doing.

There are also a few other great ways to stay in Alumni loop:

The SIM Associated Alumni website:

Facebook:

By networking with us, you’ll be able to get great career advice and stay in touch with friends. You’ll have the chance to get together with other Alumni across Canada and beyond, at conferences and events. The Alumni Association also provides an opportunity to celebrate our achievements. Every fall, the Association holds an Alumni Welcome reception. It’s a great way to acknowledge the work we do, while reuniting with our classmates and colleagues. You can also get involved, by serving on the Associated Alumni Executive, or as one of the Standing Committee Representatives. Recruitment notices for these positions are issued every winter and spring.

Again, welcome to the Alumni Association. Should you have any questions, or would be interested in learning about more ways to participate in Associated Alumni activities, don’t hesitate to ask. You can reach me at jlbabineau@gmail.com!
Best,
Jessica Babineau, BA MLIS
