American Psychological Association (APA) style is commonly used for citing references in the School of Information Management. In this quick interactive refresher session to the APA 6th edition you will learn how to:
- cite a direct quotation,
- cite summaries or paraphrased text,
- cite different numbers of authors,
- cite information when you have not seen the original source,
- cite when you are altering a direct quotation,
- compile a list of your references, and
- use the Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) in references.
This session is mandatory for first-year students. Participation grades will be awarded in INFO 5500 for your attendance. Please RSVP to Jenn (jenn.mitton@dal.ca) by Tuesday, September 18th.
