The American Library Association RUSA STARS Education and Training Committee has a project with a goal of helping people, especially students currently in library school, to understand some of the many roles librarians have with interlibrary loan responsibilities.  To help improve the understanding of what we do we have created some two minute videos of librarians with interlibrary loan responsibilities talking about certain roles.

Do you currently have library experience? Hear how Micquel Little, Access Services Librarian, St. John Fisher College, appreciates her previous experience in her role at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh7QRjlltdY

Do you love data?  Collette Mak, Head of Resources Access & Delivery,  University of Notre Dame, touches on data at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X2u2WVNq9k

Interested in budget and management? Watch  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJUc5LX4Mpk to hear Heather Weltin, Head of Access Services at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, talk management.

Our committee hopes this information is useful.  Please consider taking five minutes to watch the above videos.  We would love to receive feedback on how well these videos are providing a little insight into what goes on.  In addition, if there are areas you are interested in hearing about more please let us know.  Comments can be sent to Chair Megan Gaffney (gaffneym@udel.edu) and Lars Leon (lleon@ku.edu).

Sincerely,

Megan Gaffney & Lars Leon
