Summer Student Position: Patrick Power Library, Saint Mary’s University

The Patrick Power Library has one (1) additional position for Library School Students for the 2011 summer work term.

Deadline for applications: April 21, 2011   

Area of Responsibility:  Library Information Systems /Archives
Term of Employment: May 9 to Sept. 2, 2011. 
The Rate of Pay: $13.62 per hour.

Responsibilities will include:

Computer hardware and software  maintenance, conversion of  archival  collections to digital repository,  statistics,  inventory, and metadata maintenance,  additional tasks as assigned.  Public service duties may also be included.

To be eligible, students must be returning to postgraduate university studies in librarianship in the fall of 2011 and must be employable under Canadian Immigration laws.  Previous relevant experience is an asset.
