Claire Richardson is a Bachelor of Commerce Graduate with a major in marketing from the class of 2008. After moving from Toronto, she fell in love with the Halifax Community.
Claire’s favourite part of the degree was collaborating on group projects, her exchange in England at the University of Bath and her three co-op work terms.
After graduating, Claire continued working for a Real Estate and Mortgage company. However, her passion for healthcare sparked when she started working for the Nova Scotia Division of the Canadian Cancer Society, “Working for the Canadian Cancer Society was a great start to my career and provided me with exposure to marketing, communications, events, and advocacy.
In 2011, Claire returned to Dalhousie to obtain her Master of Health Administration and now works as a Consultant, Strategic Change and Performance Improvement at IWK Health. Claire attributes a lot of her success during her master’s degree to the fundamentals learned in her undergrad “I was one of the only MHA students in my class with a commerce undergrad. This allowed a different perspective while learning the intricacies of a public health care system.”
