Asmita Chaudhuri is a 3rd year Bachelor of Management student majoring in public sector management. Over the summer, she had the opportunity to attend the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) Industry Meeting Day, in June, in Dartmouth:
“I was interested in attending the CME Meeting Day to network with professionals and learn more about the Canadian Manufacturing and Exports industry, as well as the local market. I met various business owners, and learned more about their companies, field of work, and career paths.”
Additionally, Asmita was able to learn more about future educational opportunities by meeting with current MBA students and learning about the Corporate Residency program at Dalhousie, “it was great to take what I learned and focus it back to my education and prospective career. It was a great event, and I look forward to attending more in the future.”
Asmita is a great example of how taking advantage of local business and industry events can influence your future career goals and aspirations. Want to follow in her footsteps?
