1. Get to know Management Career Services (MCS) to make sure you get on the right path early
MCS offers unique opportunities for Dalhousie students to network with employers and go well and beyond the classroom experience. We help you build professional skills, give you valuable customized advice and support you with interactive sessions that will enable you to start your career.

2. Access your myCareer account
Why should you access your myCareer account in your first year? You will use myCareer regularly throughout your time at Dalhousie to do things such as search for jobs, register for information sessions/workshops using our events calendar or even to book an appointment with a Career Recruitment Specialist (CRS).

3. Attend our fall career events
Once you have logged into myCareer then you will have access to the events calendar where you can register to attend many different career events that will help you build the necessary skills for your career development.
We offer a range of different events throughout the year. You can explore potential career paths, improve career development skills, and build your professional networking skills by participating in Career Discovery Days. Career Discovery Days runs throughout the fall and includes employer information sessions, networking events, career fairs, workshops, and our Halifax Corporate Tour. Keep an eye on the myCareer events calendar and learn more about career opportunities.
4. Meet with a Career Recruitment Specialist and work on building your resume
Whether you are in the Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) program or the Bachelor of Management (BMgmt) program, MCS can assist you with your future work experiences. By clicking the Management Career Services tab on myCareer, you will have the option to book an appointment with a Career Recruitment Specialist (CRS), search and apply for co-op positions and even browse e-webinars.
Once you have booked an appointment with your CRS then you can begin building your resume and succeed at getting noticed by employers in different organizations.
