In 2010, fourth year Commerce student, Allia Mohamed participated in the annual “You’re Hired” Interview Competition, sponsored by Scotiabank. Overcoming her fears of speaking in public, Allia entered the competition with the intention of developing her skills & experience, making contacts with industry professionals and potentially winning the grand prize of $1,000.

 “After attending the MCS Interviewing and Resume Workshops, I felt prepared, confident and composed. As a result, I participated in the competition and was offered a co-op position with Scotiabank. I am ecstatic about my prospects for future work terms. I’ve gained so much simply by taking advantage of the events and programs that MCS offers us students. The experience, networking and preparation they provide can help anyone achieve their career goals.”
