Won Shin worked in KPMG’s risk consulting practice for three years, starting as a part-time during his fourth year at Dalhousie and advancing to Senior Consultant.
Originally from South Korea, Won took three years off after his first work term to complete mandatory military service in his home country. During the pandemic Won found an opportunity to advance his career back home and is currently working for an e-commerce company in South Korea.
When asked about his favourite part of his experience in the commerce program, Won had this to say:
First and second year all the courses are required. However, in third and fourth year, besides electives, you are in classes where everyone has the same major. I really enjoyed taking those classes and made many close friends as our career and academic goals aligned, many even working the same co-ops. We formed a tight bond though this and although we have all gone separate ways, we keep in touch.
