Take this with you to the DalCard Office.
Please note for the DalCard Office to issue your U-Pass your work term record must have been approved by Management Career Services, the approved work term details completed and your work term must be in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
The DalCard office started issuing stickers yesterday. Also note that they have extended hours coming up for the Labour Day Weekend and the week after Labour Day..
Dalplex Access:
Dalhousie students do not pay any student services fees while on co-op work terms, which means they do not have access to Dalplex or Sexton Memorial Gym until they return to classes on a full-time basis. Visit Dalplex directly to purchase a term membership or for rate information, call 902-494-3372.
Health Plan:
This is a reminder that all students who are participating in Co-op for the fall term are NOT automatically billed for the DSU Health and Dental Plan.
Students going on a Co-op in the fall term and who wish to have coverage from September 1, 2015-August 31, 2016 must opt into the DSU Health and Dental Plan in office or online. The opt in period ends September 25, 2015.
If students do not wish to opt in for the fall term, they may opt in in January when they return from their Co-op with coverage effective January 1, 2016. The opt in period is December 1, 2015-January 15, 2016.
Family coverage applications must be completed each year. Furthermore, family coverage applications can only be filed in the term to which the student has enrolled themselves for the plan. (i.e. students cannot enrol themselves for coverage in September then their families in January. Family coverage would also have to be done in September).
All opt ins and payments must be done in office or online at www.studentvip.ca/dsu. Payment options in office include: cash, cheque, debit, or credit card (VISA and Master Card).
Please note; if the Co-op is taking place outside the province of Nova Scotia, please visit the office to inquire about travel coverage. This is particularly important for international students as travel coverage may be limited.
