This information specifically pertains to Bachelor of Commerce Co-op students, Bachelor of Management Internship Students, and Corporate Residency MBA students embarking (or remaining) on a work term this summer.

UPass Opt-In Process

If you are doing your work term within the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) during Summer 2015, you can opt-in to the UPass program.  You will be charged $73.50, which is 50% of the cost for the 2014-2015 school year.

The process is as follows:

1. You must first have a confirmed and approved co-op or internship work term position inside of the HRM. If you have found your own work term it must be submitted via myCareer (https://blogs.dal.ca/mcs/2014/08/how-to-submit-your-job-approval-form/) and approved by your Career and Recruitment Specialist. We cannot approve your position until we speak with your employer.
2. To prove your work term details, login to myCareer, click on the Co-op Tab and link(s) to your work term record(s) will be on the right hand side of the screen.  Click the link for the appropriate work term to access your work term record.  Click the blue Print Work Term Detail button that appears to generate a copy of your work term record and print it.
3. Provide the DalCard office with the proof of your approved co-op or internship work term.

Opt-In for Dalplex Access:
Dalhousie students do not pay any student services fees while on co-op or internship work terms, which means they do not have access to Dalplex or Sexton Memorial Gym until they return to classes on a full-time basis.
