Matthew Murray is a fourth year Management student from Oakville, Ontario and has served as the Dalhousie Management Society Vice President Academic for the past two years. This will be Matthew’s first year acting as the Management Society’s Management Career Services (MCS) Liaison through which he plans to introduce MGMT students to MCS’ various resources:
“My role as MCS Liaison is to ensure that Management students are utilizing this incredible resource and are aware of all the different options MCS has to offer. MCS is here for all Management students to provide us with industry-specific knowledge as well as career development. MCS can only better Management students’ ability to seek out and attain employment.”
Matthew also expressed how important it is for first year students to connect with MCS’ programs and services:
“I plan on ensuring that MGMT students are introduced to MCS at the very beginning. MCS needs to be an integral part of a MGMT student’s career at Dalhousie starting on that first day of first year. I am extremely excited about the opportunity to work closely with this incredible office ensuring that MGMT students are taking advantage of this resource.”
Students can use MCS and myCareer to develop their resumes and cover letters, view and register for upcoming events, build a professional presence on social media, and even book an appointment with our Career and Recruitment Specialists for one-on-one career development assistance.
