The 28th Annual Health Administration REACH 2012 Leadership Gala was held on Friday, April 13th. Keynote speaker for the gala was Pat Lee – CEO, Pictou County Health Authority. Mr. Lee’s presentation on the future of Canadian healthcare was captivating and thought-provoking for the students in attendance. Special Guests for the evening included:
- Dean Will Webster and Anne Godden-Webster;
- Lawrence Nestman (Professor Emeritus) and Anne Nestman;
- Michael Hadskis, Schulich School of Law;
- Catherine MacPherson, Chair CCHL Bluenose Chapter;
- Sandra Hennigar, Northwood Foundation;
- Mary Lee, CEO Health Association Nova Scotia;
- Sharon Davis-Murdock, Diversity and Social Inclusion Health Policy Advisor, Department of Health and Wellness. Sharon was also the recipient of the Lawrence Nestman Outstanding Contribution Award.
Student honorees are as follows:

- Kimberley Vaulkhard – Dr. A. Peter Ruderman Award
- Ainsley Young – CCH-KP Richard Award, Alumni Association Award

- Kirk Owen – Health Association Nova Scotia Award, Robert Wood Johnson Award, Association of Health Administration Students Award
- Major Marcus Brauer – Nestman Prize for Accounting
- Reem El-Misleh – Dr. Thomas Rathwell Award
- Jaimie Claramunt Llill – Glen Moore Memorial Award
- Erin Christian – First Year Academic Excellence Award
