Olivia Power is a third-year Bachelor of Management student and is also the Management Career Services (MCS) representative with the Dalhousie Management Society.

Olivia’s involvement with MCS began in her first year when she started taking advantage of the many opportunities available to her, with the goal of developing her career focus and network well in advance of graduation. By attending workshops and events, she says she’s greatly improved her resume-writing and interview skills, and has a much better sense of her post-grad options.

As an MCS representative, Olivia is keen to connect students to the resources and opportunities that help to support the development of professional skills that will serve them during their time as students, through to graduation and beyond: “I strongly encourage first-year students to make an appointment with a Career and Recruitment Specialist to start planning now for their future – it’s never too early.”

Management students can join Olivia next month as the society hosts Choose Your Major, an event that helps provide guidance and support on selecting a Management major. Information on the Bachelor of Management Internship Program will also be provided. Two nights to choose from: November 14^th and 15^th in room 2068.
