Meet Roudi Tawil, a second year Commerce student from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Starting his second year and his first co-op job search, Roudi was highly involved in many of MCS’s career events, taking full advantage of everything from sessions to networking events. Recently, Roudi secured his first co-op job placement with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)*.
“Coming into my second year in the Commerce program I knew I wanted my first co-op work term to be with an accounting firm. Through MCS and the help of my career specialist Lori Bauld, I registered and attended all of the Accounting networking/information sessions. The events were extremely helpful and informative. This helped me in my co-op search by giving me an idea of what firm is the best fit for me. It also gave me a chance to network with the head recruiters from the firms. The MCS office and specifically Lori Bauld helped me become a more appealing candidate to the employers.
When I start my co-op term at PwC, I am most looking forward to the opportunity to learn, grow and expand my knowledge of accounting. I hope to gain hands on experience working with clients and also expand my network with fellow employees at PwC.”
*NOTE: Don’t miss the November 5th Job Search Workshop co-hosted by Samantha Whitehall from PwC and MCS Career Recruitment Specialist Lori Bauld. See myCareer for event details and registration.
