March 31 Dellaire Lab and colleagues awarded a Canadian Cancer Society Breakthrough Grant A Cross-Canada Team lead by Dr. Robin Urquhart and co-Principal applicants, Drs. Graham Dellaire, Geoff Maksym, Alison Wallace, and Victor Martinez at Dalhousie, as well as Trevor Dummer (UBC), Aaron Goodarzi (U of Calgary), and Maria Aristizabal (Queens U) were awarded a historic $5.1 Million dollar Canadian Cancer Society Breakthrough grant to study the lung cancer environmental exposome to identify biomarkers for lung cancer risk related to arsenic, radon and air pollution.

Graham Dellaire and Aaron Goodarzi was awarded a $2 Million Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI) – Innovation Fund grant to develop better ways of detecting arsenic and radon impacts on cancer in Canada. Sept 27 Super-Resolution Radial Fluctuation (SRRF) Imaging in the Dellaire Laboratory

The Dellaire laboratory has completed a microscope upgrade with high-speed and high-resolution Photometrics Cameras to allow Super-Resolution Radial Fluctuation (SRRF) Imaging, a technology developed by the laboratory of colleague Dr. Ricardo Henriques (University College London). This upgrade was made possible by equipment grants from the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) and The Research Tools and Instruments (RTI) Grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
