Dear AC students and staff, please review the Agricultural Campus Master Plan and send us your ideas, suggestions and comments.
Please note that the AC Campus Master Plan is conceptual and it is not finalized yet.
Thanks.

Just a note regarding the use of the Boulden Bldg. as stated on page 15 of the document – this bldg. has never been used by the Pre-Veterinary Sciences Program. It is the home of the Veterinary Technology Program and previous to that the Animal Health Technology Program. Also, it was stated that Boulden is one of the 22 buildings rated as in “poor” condition yet we sit in phase 3 of the master plan.
Thank you for your comment and clarification regarding the current program use of the Boulden Building. I am the Dalhousie Lead working on the AC Master Plan. We will update the information to maintain correct program locations.
In terms of the Phased Campus Renewal Plans, please consider the proposed ‘stages’ as general guidelines only. The Campus Master Plan for the Agricultural Campus will ultimately be considered a framework plan to guide future investment in terms of the physical campus. Its not intended as a prescribed plan that requires Dalhousie to move in an exact direction – much of the future will rest on opportunities such as campus priorities for raising capital dollars, new program offerings, research grants, industry interest, etc. The Plan will outline how we might build the future campus as opportunities arise.
Thanks again for commenting.
There are several much-needed upgrades in this plan. The plans for Learning Links and Landscape Open Space will be a great asset to campus; but I am most excited for details on the Campus Centre (NTR 2). As a current M.Sc. student, I see the desperate need for a location on campus for students to come together. This document does a great job of outlining potential benefits and I sincerely hope that current students are involved in the planning and design of this building. I do not want to see $$$$ dumped into a centre that does not fully address our needs!
As a final point, I was relieved to see that “adequate graduate office facilities” were mentioned as a priority on page 6. Let’s just hope that we remain a priority when renovations actually begin…
The design seems to eliminate a large number of parking areas on the campus. It also will create some challenging new hills and elevations with walk and street realignments.
The connections of buildings would provide some very interesting new learning commons spaces for the campus.
