Throughout the year, Dalhousie’s Office of Sustainability bestows Instant Sustainability Awards to deserving individuals in the Dalhousie community. During Canadian Environmental Week, June 3 – 9, the Office of Sustainability will recognize students, staff, and faculty from all campuses who use active transportation to commute. This may include walking, cycling, or running, among others.
Do you know someone at Dalhousie who is contributing to creating a culture of sustainability on campus through the use of active transportation? Nominate them for an Instant Sustainability Award! Email rethink@dal.ca with the person’s name, department/faculty, and a paragraph describing why you think this person deserves an Instant Sustainability Award. A special prize will be awarded to whoever logs the longest commute for the Commuter Challenge.
