Dr. Watanabe hosted Keith and Julia at the Roppongi Hills Membership Club in the 51st floor of the Mori Tower overlooking Tokyo. The food was great and the conversation was wonderful. It was especially pleasant to learn of Eri’s experience in completing her degree in Honours Physics. Her honours project was supervised by Ian Hill. She just finished her MSc at UBC in applied physics and has accepted a job with a company in Osaka beginning in April, 2010. Tosh completed his PhD in Physiology & Biophysics under the supervision of Prof. Terry McDonald in the area of electrophysiology of the heart. He is especially grateful for having received a Killam scholarship while a graduate student. It certainly seemed that both Tosh and Eri are proud to have studied at Dalhousie and will always think fondly of the university.
