Why were you interested in taking this course, Doing Business in Emerging Markets?
Through my work history, I’ve been able to gain experience with respect to the Canadian corporate environment, but have little knowledge concerning international business. I wanted to take this course so I could gain hands-on knowledge of how Canadian businesses alter their strategies and practices to operate in foreign markets, and the impacts of operating in same. I was also excited by the potential relationships and networking that can be achieved with the course.
What do you expect to learn from your visit to Chile and Argentina?
My travel experience has been limited to North America so I hope that the trip to Argentina and Chile will open my eyes to new cultures, values and practices.
How do you think this experience will impact your future career?
I believe that this experience will allow me to challenge my current mindset and allow me to think on more of a global scale, providing me with a competitive advantage in my career.
