My name is Marisa Rostek, I am a fourth year Health Promotion Honours Student at Dalhousie University. I am currently looking for volunteers to take part in my study that explores perceptions of engaging in active transportation; a human powered form of transit such as walking or cycling.
I am seeking to recruit members of the Dalhousie Employee community who currently don’t commute to work through active transportation, but would like to do so. Participants will be asked to take pictures of things that help or hinder their ability to engage in active transportation and to attend an interview.
To be eligible for this study you must be employed by Dalhousie University and be living within the peninsula. The peninsula includes the the following communities: Downtown Halifax, The Hydrostone, North, South and West End Halifax, Quinpool district, and Spring Garden. Participants also must commute to work by car, and with access to a phone with a working camera. All participants must be willing to provide photographs to the researcher and attend an interview located at Dalhousie University.
