Last summer, Lab members gained international recognition when they won 1st place in the international EAGE Field Challenge competition in Madrid, Spain. The team also won €3000 for the Dalhousie EAGE Student Chapter. With the winnings of the competition, over twenty news books were purchased on behalf of the Dalhousie University EAGE Student Chapter. Days after Lab members win a spot to compete in this year's EAGE Field Challenge 2015 in Madrid, Spain, Dalhousie's EAGE Student Chapter claims 1st place in the EAGE Online Geo-Quiz, held each year for EAGE Student Chapters around the world. Dalhousie Earth Science recently founded a student chapter of the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) - proof that geology knows no borders! Congratulations to Basin & Reservoir Lab team members Charles Carlisle, Darragh O'Connor and Connor Wentzell, who form one of the six winning international teams eligible to compete in this year's EAGE Field Challenge. Other winning competitors include students from Beijing, Spain, Russia, Dubai, and Poland.
